DEEP IN A DARK AND TWISTED FOREST...
Once Upon A Time, Elle @madeitbad_ , Laura @laurahighamphotography and I delved into the woods, hoping to find spooky, twisted trees and echos of fairytale scenes, with the sole purpose of creating a DARK PRINCESS photoshoot. This featured the Josephina Dress [sky blue satin princess mini dress with princess red panel sleeves] from my VULVER collection, and the Buffy 1.0 Dress [black organza mini dress] from my LUXURIA Collection.
In our narrative, this sweet, innocent princess, wearing the Josephina Princess Dress, is slowly being corrupted by the evil aura of the surrounding woods, questioning whether she’s gonna be a Queen Of Light or Queen Of Dark.
Then, free upon the rolling hills and out of the woods, wearing the Buffy 1.0 Black Organza Mini Dress, she still decides upon Queen Of Dark, her choice being alternate to that we expect due to pre-prescribed fairytale ideals.
The two Delta Of Phoenix garments we chose for these two opposing moments were the Josephina Dress and the Buffy 1.0 Dress. Totally perfect options, as the Josephina Dress is a princess cosplay DREAM due to the Snow White panelled puff sleeves in blue and red.
The Buffy 1.0 Dress is just SO perfect for the Queen Of Dark moment, as its so ethereal and unapologetically feminine, it exposes the model due to it’s opaque texture created by double layer luxury organza, and worked so well to emanate FREEDOM in the way it moved in the wind.
Super ethereal, super spooky, super divine. Working with Elle and Laura was so perfect, and its actually 1/3 shoots we’ve worked on together so far. As always, I asked Elle and Laura 3 questions, touching on their herstory, their WHY and ofcourse their perfect meal...

Make as many contacts as you can. Creativity thrives when collaborating and bouncing ideas off of likeminded people. It can also get you many opportunities that you wouldn’t otherwise get if you were working alone. Knowing I have a team behind me always helps with big projects.

Set up clear, measurable and attainable objectives. Don't let slower times be set backs, creativity thrives in quiet moments. Have clear boundaries both with yourself and individuals you work with - trust me, it's easier to set sooner than later. And most importantly - have fun, create, enjoy, inspire and get inspired.
