The Crema Susina, Delta’s new fuchsia pink satin midi dress, was absolutely inspired by Marilyn in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes; that opening number, all fuchsia satin shine & unapologetic femininity, with the gloves and all. This is the most wonderful element about owning a sustainable womxnswear brand ~ I can create what I dream of, I can express those imaginings that are so important to me, that make my soul shine. The Crema Susina is a fuchsia pink satin midi dress with front leg thigh slit and extra hem ruffle - oh so perfect for the Opera or evening piazza performance, I hope this dream satin midi dress emanates pure Lorelai glamour. The fuchsia pink satin is overlaid with a poppy red organza – this colour clash creates that brightness within the visual.
A Fuchsia Pink Satin Midi Dress With Zero Fabric Waste
Back at the end of 2020 lockdown, I created my first six brand pledges, where sustainability was an elemental focus. The Crema Susina Fuchsia Pink Satin Midi Dress was designed with these pledges in mind, and now leaves zero fabric waste! This is super exciting for me as a brand creative & designer, as it proves that sustainable design is a possibility. All the pattern pieces of this midi dress are rectangular, (including ruffle, bodice and ties), and are all measured and proportioned in order to tessellate on a width of both satin and organza, therefore leaving no fabric waste and truly being part of a sustainable autumn womxnswear collection.
Divine Nectarina – A Sustainable Autumn Womxnswear Collection
Emanating true Italiana madre glamour & divine Lorelai fuchsia tones, the new Divine Nectarina collection is another expression of unapologetic femininity, for me anyway. Being able to create a sustainable autumn womxnswear collection with minimal fabric waste is oh so wonderful, a Delta dream come true. The Crema Susina fuchsia pink satin midi dress is a sustainable garment yet still radiates the glamour found within Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, a perfect dress for a night at the Italian opera that I’ve been dreaming of. All Divine Nectarina garments are handmade by me in my home studio, and will always be made to order ~ further upholding Delta’s sustainability pledge, ensuring no remaining garments at the end of season.
